Chapter History

The Delta Rho Chapter of the Delta Gamma fraternity began in the spring of 1966 as Delta Rho Sorority, and was comprised of six women. In the winter of 1971, Ms. Marsha Strickland, Delta Gamma’s Fraternity President visited these women. These women petitioned to the Delta Gamma Fraternity for a charter, and were accepted as the ninety-ninth colony of Delta Gamma on October 16th, 1971. The charter sisters pledged on March 31st, 1971, and so the Virginia Tech colony of Delta Gamma began.
